MUNSON TWP, Minn. — A woman from Avon has died after a motorcycle crash in Munson Township.

Fifty-two-year-old Kelli Jo Gauthier of Avon was riding with a group of other motorcyclists on Sunday, August 16.

According to a media release from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, she left the group to go home, but never arrived.

The family searched the area for two hours before calling the police at approximately 5:20 p.m. About 40 minutes later, he police located the motorcycle and Gauthier in a ditch in Munson Township, 1-2 miles north of Richmond.

Lifesaving measures were unsuccessful and Gauthier was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
