11-year-old boy in St. Cloud in custody after stabbing an 18-year-old multiple times police say

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — An 11-year-old boy is in custody after stabbing an 18-year-old man multiple times on Tuesday, August 4.
According to a media release from the St. Cloud Police Department, officers responded to the Coborn’s in St. Cloud around 7:09 p.m. for reports of the stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers learned the victim was stabbed multiple times in the entrance of the store. The victim and other people in the store were able to hold down the 11-year-old until officers arrived.
Officers located the knife that was used in the assault at the scene.
According to the release, the victim sustained significant injuries that were not life threatening. He was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for his injuries.
The suspect was not injured, but was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for evaluation before being taken into custody.
Officers conducted a search warrant on an address in St. cloud that was related to the suspect. The case is still under investigation.
