#4 SCSU Welcomes CSP to Faber in Midweek Set

#4 St. Cloud State (22-6, 10-4 NSIC) gets a chance to steady the ship after dropping three of their last four, meeting Concordia-St. Paul (17-13, 8-10 NSIC) for a two-game midweek series beginning at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Joe Faber.

The Huskies slumped through their series with Augustana and Wayne State, averaging 3.5 runs per game, nearly 5.0 runs off their season average.

CSP has struggled to score in their own right, posting just 4.8 runs per game with a meager .706 OPS. The Golden Bears have just two everyday players producing an OPS of better than .800 in Patrick Bordewick (.358/.404/.462, 6 2B, 3B, HR, 17 RBI) and Ryan Christopher (.358/.406/.516, 7 2B, 4 3B, 25 RBI).

Christopher and righthander Josh Gaworski are the probables for both games of the set. The sophomore Christopher has gone 2-1 with a 2.57 ERA over four starts, striking out 26 and walking 10 across 21.0 innings. Gaworski bested the Huskies in Tucson earlier this year, cruising through 8.0 innings of one-run ball, scattering six hits and a pair of walks while striking out four.

Blake Flint and Dominic Austing are the likely pair for St. Cloud State.

Both games will be broadcast live on the KVSC Sports Stream, with Husky Den Pregame at 10:30 a.m.
