The St. Cloud State University women’s soccer team kicked off their 2013 campaign on the road Thursday, taking on Southwest Baptist University in the Peacock Tournament in Fayette, Iowa. Sophomore, Gabby Fleck scored the games lone goal and the Huskies defeated the Bearcats by a final of 1-0. Sophomore Brittany Plombon was between the posts for the Huskies, recording 11 saves to earn the shutout victory over the Bearcats.

The Huskies turnaround and play their second game of the season this afternoon. SCSU will take on Maryville University, the game is set to start at 12:30 p.m. from Fayette, Iowa.
