The women’s basketball bounced to a big non-conference win at Halenbeck Hall this weekend in a game heard on the KVSC Sports Stream. The Huskies hosted Wisconsin-Stout Saturday afternoon and got off to a quick start. SCSU took the victory by a final of 83-59. They will be in action again Tuesday night in Halenbeck Hall to host Dakota State University. Listen to the action on the KVSC Sports Stream. The Huskies are 3-0 on the young season.

The men’s basketball team posted a non-conference road victory over Wisconsin-Parkside Saturday. UW-Parkside fell 87-84 for their first loss of the season while the Huskies maintained their perfect record. SCSU sophomore Jordan Poydras scored a career-high 32 points in the win. Poydras efforts earned him NSIC honors as the Basketball Player of the Week. Damarius Cruz, Scott Stone and James Fort also scored in the double-digits for the Huskies. SCSU is 4-0 on the season and will open the conference portion of the season at home Saturday afternoon hosting the University of Minnesota Duluth.
