After a bye week, the St. Cloud State University men’s hockey team remains at #2 in the USCHO Poll. The Huskies will return to action this weekend with a NCHC road series against the #20 University of Minnesota Duluth. Due to the advancement of the Husky Football team, KVSC Sports will not be able to provide coverage of the series. The Crew will provide coverage of the football game. The Huskies are currently first in the nation with a 83.3 winning rate. Iron man Nic Dowd brings his 95 consecutive game streak into the weekend, he has eight goals this season and is just eight points from the 100-point club. SCSU matches up well with UMD in a series that dates back to before the Huskies became a Division I program. In all time SCSU leads the series 56-40-8. The last time the Huskies played the Bulldogs was a split featuring a 5-1 Husky victory Saturday, November 24, 2012. The Bulldogs won the Friday game 2-1, both games took place in Duluth, MN.
