Archived: Baby Jesus Stolen From Stearns History Museum’s Nativity Scene
A vital piece of a nativity scene owned by the Stearns History Museum has been stolen.
The museum says Baby Jesus went missing from his manger while on display at U.S Bank’s downtown St. Cloud location.
The Baby Jesus statue is part of a 1944 set that was bought using funds from school children. It was donated to the museum in 1978.
The piece is believed to have been stolen between 6 p.m. on Wednesday and 2 p.m. on Thursday. A U.S Bank representative informed the museum of the theft.
The museum wants the statue returned home undamaged. If anyone has any information about the theft, please contact the Stearns History Museum at (320) 253-8424 or the St. Cloud Police Department at (320) 345-4444.
