One man is dead after his car swerved into oncoming traffic Saturday afternoon.

The Stearns county sheriff’s office says 33-year-old Christopher Edward Stiles was headed south on Highway 71 near Sauk Center when he swerved into the northbound lane and collided with a truck. Stiles car then struck two trees in the east ditch and the truck landed on its side on the sholder of the road.

Stiles was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck 30-year-old Kerri Beckermann was taken to the St. Cloud hostpital for her injuries.
