Upcoming kindergartners can become bilingual at an earlier age, with an Immersion program at two St. Cloud area schools.

St. Cloud Area School District 742 says Madison Elementary School will host Chinese Immersion while Clearview Elementary will run Spanish Immersion for the 2019-2020 school year.

There will be information nights at both elementary schools before a set of five tour dates to see if an Immersion program would be right for your child. Immersion programs would feature teachers communicating only in Chinese or Spanish to students.

The information nights will be held on Tuesday, January 15 at 6 p.m. for Madison and Thursday, January 17 at 6 p.m for Clearview.
