St. Cloud State University has been given recognition for being a military-friendly school.

A St. Cloud State University spokeswoman says VIQTORY has designated the university as a 2019 Military Friendly Silver School. This places St. Cloud State within 20 percent of the top ten large public schools in terms of veteran assistance.

Once veterans enroll to the university, they are offered free tutoring, employment help, and several programs to help in transitioning to a civilian.

VIQTORY, a networking company that helps veterans in these transitions, evaluates schools based on an advanced methodology that includes retention, graduation rates, and job placements.

St. Cloud State was one of only 766 schools to receive a Military-Friendly School designation.
