Archived: Last Nights Snow Fall Covering Roads and Delaying School
The first round of harsh winter weather has left its mark on St. Cloud.
St Cloud State University Meteorology Professor, Bob Weisman, says the band of snow that dropped four to eight inches of snow across central and southern Minnesota grazed the Granite City. St. Cloud reported two to four inches of snow across town.
Blowing snow continues to cover roads. This was the first day this year area schools called a late start to classes to allow roads to be cleared. The snow that fell was fluffy and slippery, causing an increase in car accidents along Interstate 94 and Highway 10.
More cold temperatures and snow are in the forecast for later this week with Thursday predicted to be the coldest.
