This week’s Women on Wednesday will have a Native American speaker looking to keep her language alive.

Dakota Goodthunder is one of five remaining Dakota tribe speakers looking to preserve the language. She is also Director of the Lower Sioux Early Head Start Program which is an immersion language preschool.

She will be speaking Wednesday from 12-1 p.m. on the power and importance of preserving the Dakota language and culture.
