The National Collegiate Hockey Conference announced their preseason All-NCHC team and four out of the seven are seniors, including Huskies captain Jack Ahcan.

Ahcan comes into his fourth year on the Huskies blue line after turning down several NHL contracts after a disappointing ending in the NCAA tournament last year. Ahcan received 10 votes for the squad and is the only Husky to make the team.

The other members of the team are senior forwards Hugh McGing and Wade Allison (Western Michigan), junior forwards Justin Richards and Nick Swaney (UMD), junor defensemen Scott Perunovich (UMD) and senior goaltender Hunter Shepard (UMD).

NCHC Media day is this Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Excel Energy Center and KVSC will be in attendance to cover the event.
