Huskies Football woes continue in loss to Bemidji State

The St. Cloud State football team fell to Bemidji State 38-14 on Saturday afternoon on the road.
BSU jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a field goal in the first quarter, then added on two 2nd quarter touchdowns to take a 17-0 lead into the halftime break.
The host Beavers bulit onto their lead with a quick third quarter touchdown pushing the advantage to 24-0. St. Cloud State found their way onto the scoreboard for the first time in the game with a 25 yard touchdown pass from Dwayne Lawhorn to Anthony Carver cutting the Bemidji State lead to 24-8.
On offense, BSU stayed hot with another touchdown going further ahead 31-8. The fourth quarter started with a similar result as the Beavers found the end zone again going ahead 38-8 with 14:54 left in the contest.
Justin Czech ran for a late touchdown for SCSU in the fourth quarter but the Huskies ultimately dropped their 6th game of the season 38-14.
Dwayne Lawhorn threw for 207 yards through the air while tight end Anthony Carver led the Huskies receiving with 7 catches for 130 yards and a touchdown. SCSU had a poor rushing game with just 40 rushing yards as a team.
Huskies football will look to snap a four game skid back at home Saturday against Minot State.
