Two in custody following assault investigation in St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Two people are in custody for pointing a gun at and threatening a 17-year-old male in St. Cloud.
Around 12;50 p.m. on Monday, August 3, St. Cloud Police Department officers responded to the area of the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue Southeast in St. Cloud.
According to a media release from the St. Cloud Police Department, the victim “had a handgun pulled on him in a threatening manner,” near the intersection of 7th Street and Lincoln Avenue Southeast.
The suspects, identified as 20-year-old Quinton McNeal, and a 17-year-old male, were in a vehicle at the time of the incident. SCPD says the suspects were acquaintances to the victim.
According to the media release, the victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
Officers located the suspects’ vehicle in the area and took them into custody. Officers also located the gun inside the vehicle.
McNeal was transported to Sherburne County Jail, and the 17-year-old was brought to a secure detention. Both suspects are being held on charges related to the incident.
A search warrant was conducted on an address in St. Cloud that is related to the suspects, according to the release.
