ST. CLOUD, Minn. – It was a Senior Night to remember for St. Cloud Tech. The Tigers reached double-digit goals as they rolled to a big win over Fergus Falls on Thursday.

St. Cloud Tech would strike for four goals in the first half, controlling the pace of play over the opening 40 minutes. Zekariya Abdi would open the scoring just 3:22 into the contest for the Tigers.

12 minutes later, it was Abdisalan Ali doubling the Tiger lead with a strike from just inside the penalty area. Abdirahman Salad would make it 3-0 at the 13:59 mark.

Just 87 seconds later, Abdishakur Mohammed was awarded a penalty kick. The initial stop was made by the Fergus Falls goaltender but Mohammed headed home his own rebound for the 4-0 advantage.

The Otters would get one back on a Lucas Tuel shot that deflected in with 8:35 left in the half, but that was all the offense they could manage for the contest.

Salad would get his second of the night on a successful penalty kick just 2:49 into the second half, as the Tigers put their foot on the gas after the Senior Night ceremony between the halves.

Vaughn Blair, Faisal Derow, and Abdullahi Ahmed would all find the back of the net in the half, as well as Abdishakur Mohammed getting his second goal of the contest. It was a dominant performance from St. Cloud Tech as they continue their push to reach the top of the conference standings.

The Tigers now sit at 9-2-1 overall and 7-1-1 in conference play. St. Cloud Tech will be back in action Saturday, hosting DeLaSalle at 1 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
