On October 3rd, the #15 St. Cloud State Huskies took on the Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles

Set 1 was a consistent one for the Huskies. Similar to last game, Emury Thury would get off to a hot start and get the team going early. With both Shelby Kimm and Laurin Hammann saving points with digs the Huskies took set 1 with comfort, with Carlie Willis and Emury Thury taking most of the kills

Set 2 was much more competitive between the two teams than set 1. Minnesota Crookston caught a bit of fire with Madison Carsten, who began to stack up big kills that would give the Golden Eagles the lead in set 2. Carlie Willis would keep the Huskies alive with clutch kills to keep the set close. Service aces also played a big role for the huskies crawl their way back and won set 2

In set 3, the Huskies returned to dominance in all aspects of the game. A key player for them in set 3 was Hannah Bruskiewicz, who not only came into the rotation scoring key points, adding height in the front to get blocks, but she also ended up winning the game for the Huskies by getting the game-winning kill, which allowed the Huskies to sweep the Golden Eagles
