A Waite Park woman has died after her SUV swerved into oncoming traffic at a Sartell intersection on Thursday.

The Minnesota State Patrol says two cars and an SUV were heading south on Highway 15 waiting to make a left turn onto County Road 1. The unidentified 68-year-old woman was heading north on the highway when she veered into the oncoming traffic, colliding with the two cars and the SUV.

After hitting all three vehicles, the woman’s SUV crossed through the median and the northbound lanes of the highway before finally coming to a stop in a ditch.

There were four people in the three vehicles that were hit. None of them were injured.

The woman will be identified later today.
