Archived: Underage Party Gets Crashed By Police
An alcohol-riddled party full of underage teenagers was crashed by police last Sunday.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says they received a complaint about a juvenile party in St. Augusta just after midnight. When they arrived, they could hear party noise coming from inside.
Many people were outside at the time police arrived, but they moved inside once the police started moving towards the house.
Police were granted permission to enter the house, where they discovered that the 40-50 party attendees were underage and that alcohol and marijuana was present. Many of the juveniles appeared to be high school age or under 18 years old.
Officers spoke with people one-by-one before issuing 35 citations for underage consumption. Some of the juveniles, however, were released after police found out they had not been drinking.
Parents were contacted and rides were arranged to bring the underage partygoers home.
