SCSU will be hosting a day-long leadership retreat for 250 student leaders from 8 area schools.

The event titled “We-Act” will be held Monday, February 3 from 9:00 a.m. -1:30 p.m. in The Atwood Center Ballroom.

Students attending the “We-Act” leadership retreat will participate in brainstorming ideas for a local conference involving middle school students.

The events keynote speaker will be motivational speaker Molly Burke. Burke was diagnosed with a retinal disease causing loss of vision when she was just 4-years-old. Burke’s message involves rising above any challenge in life, whether it be bullying, mental illness or physical disabilities.
