Waite Park Police were called to a fight Wednesday at 36 3rd Street North in Waite Park at 9:30 p.m.

When Police arrived they found the victim lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds. The 47-year-old suspect, Anthony Scates of Waite Park was still at the scene and was arrested. Investigators found the knife used in the assault a short distance from where the fight took place.

The victim was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital where he underwent surgery for his stab wounds. The victim’s condition hasn’t been released.

Scates was taken to the Stearns County Jail where specific charges are still pending.
