Author Walt Bachman will be giving a presentation on his latest book; Northern Slave Black Dakota at St. Cloud State University.

The book and presentation describes the U.S. Army’s recruiting and payment policies towards enslaved soldiers in free states during the U.S. Dakota War of 1862.

The event which is free and open to the public, will take place Wednesday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. in Atwood’s Voyageur Room, located on the SCSU campus.
