The Stearns County Highway Department has begun initial construction on County Road 4 in St. Wendel, more commonly known as Veterans Drive.

According to the Stearns County Highway Department, construction crews will begin pulverizing the existing pavement on Veterans Drive at the beginning of County Road 3 on September 9.

The construction will proceed as far east as possible during this construction season. Detour routes are County Road 3, County Road 75 and County Road 2.

Local area motorists are advised to drive with caution while traveling through the work zone. All other motorists are being asked to avoid the construction whenever possible.
