A man was arrested Thursday night and his facing felony charges of possession of a firearm.

Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Unit found information from the man’s criminal history that he was not allowed to carry one.

According to St. Cloud Police, a search warrant was obtained for a residence in the 900 block of 8th Avenue South in St. Cloud.

Before executing the warrant, officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 23 and 14th Avenue South that was driven by 20-year-old Jesse Scott Drum of St. Cloud. While officers were searching the vehicle, three loaded handguns, a bb gun, and a taser were found. Drum was taken into custody and the search warrant was later executed at the residence.

From an unrelated warrant, the passenger of the car, 21-year-old Jacob Tyler Hanson, was also arrested at the scene. Both men are currently being held at the Stearns County Jail.
