A Big Lake man died Wednesday morning after rear-ending a snowplow.

Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says the crash happened near the intersection of 196th Street and 212th Avenue just before 9 a.m. The plow was stopped at the corner when the driver of the plow noticed a pickup quickly approaching. He tried to turn to avoid the crash but couldn’t maneuver fast enough.

The plow driver was not injured. Authorities have not yet released the name of the man who died.
