Archived: Big Sing Festival To Feature Timothy Takach and SCSU Concert Choir
A major collaborative performance will wrap up the annual Big Sing Festival at St. Cloud State University.
A St. Cloud State University spokesman says this year’s guest conductor will be critically-acclaimed Minneapolis composer Timothy Takach. He will be co-directing the St. Cloud State Concert Choir with SCSU director of choral activities Dr. Matthew Farrell.
Performing with the Concert Choir will be the Monticello High School Concert Choir directed by Nathan Herfindahl and the Big Sing Festival Chorus, which consists of almost 200 choral musicians from the high school and college level.
Performances will include works by Takach, Paul Rudoi, and John Wesley Work, Jr.
