A Clear Lake man is in fair condition after being injured in a head on collision with a combine Saturday.

According to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, 87-year-old John Podany of Clear Lake, was heading eastbound on County Road 8 when his minivan collided head on with a combine that was driving westbound on the shoulder of County Road 8.

Podany was flown to HCMC where he currently remains. The driver of the combine 37-year-old Nathan Tesmer of Clear Lake, suffered no injuries in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
