A Freeport woman was killed in a two-way crash at an intersection near St. Joseph on Friday.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says they received a call about a crash at the intersection of County Road 3 and Norway Road in St. Wendel Township just before 7 p.m.

According to the report, 46-year-old Jonathan Grace of St. Joseph was driving west on Norway Road when his pickup truck collided with an SUV’s driver side door.

The SUV’s driver, 54-year-old Stacy Meyer of Freeport, was driving south at the time of the crash.

Grace only suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. However, Meyer was taken to St. Cloud Hospital, where she later died.

Both drivers were wearing seat-belts at the time of the crash. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
