Minnesota’s Fishing opener is this weekend and the DNR expects nearly half a million anglers will cast their lines.

Starting on Saturday fishers can start reeling in many popular types of fish including Walleye, Northern Pike, and Trout. The Department of Natural Resources wants to remind all anglers that while Minnesota has over 10,000 lakes, only 4,500 of them are considered fishing lakes.
