Phil Klaphake and the Husky offense produced over 500 yards of Offense on Saturday, defeating the Mustangs of SMSU 49-35. SCSU received production from all areas; both wide receivers Damon Treat and Eli Shoemaker surpassed 100 yards receiving with each finding the end zone on Touchdown passes from Phillip Klaphake. Klaphakecompleted 15 of 26 passes for 253 yards for two touchdowns and adding 61 yards with his legs, while rushing for two more touchdowns.

Ladell White was inactive on Saturday so Michael White filled the big shoes and ran for 116 yards, scoring two touchdowns. As a whole, the Huskies Offense rushed over 250 yards and scoring five of the teams seven touchdowns. Unfortunately, the huskies defense allowed 477 yards of offense on Saturday. Jack Moro and Miky Woods led the huskies with 11 tackles each. SCSU allowed more than 35 points just three times all last season. Next weekend the Huskies welcome the Winona State Warriors for their 2013 home opener. KVSC will have the call, Scott Gross and Declan Goff will be live at Husky Stadium. Kickoff is at 6:00.
