Set 1 was exactly how the Huskies wanted to start the game. Kinsey Mohwinkle would shine early for the Huskies, awarding the Huskies with 4 kills outta their first 7 points, as well as a few blocks that saved rallies for St. Cloud State. A key moment in the game happened when the teams were tied 25 to 25; then the senior Shelby Kimm would make an excellent effort to save a strike from the Mustangs after both teams had gone back and forth for the last eight points. Due to this effort, the Huskies would end up taking set 1 after a kill by Kinsey Mohwinkle

Set 2 began to tilt in the favor of the Mustangs. After trailing earlier in the set, they found a way to tie it at 6- 6. Both teams would go on to take one point and then tie the next rally all the way to point 11. The Huskies would catch fire with strikes from Carlie Willis and Abby Wachal, which helped the Huskies take set 2.

In set 3, Kinsey Mohwinkle would continue to have a career day as she had now reached five total blocks throughout the game; both teams ended up tying 16 times throughout the game overall. St. Cloud State’s Laurin Hamann had key digs as well as saves that helped the Huskies take Set 3 after a strike by Kinsey Mohwinkle.
