Jacobs Hat Trick Pushes Sabres Past Crush

-The St. Cloud Crush welcomed the Sartell Sabres into the MAC for a boys CLC matchup. The Sabres came in 2nd in the conference and the Crush are 3rd but both have 8 points. The game started with a bang. Off the opening faceoff Devon Jacobs scored at the 8 second mark of the game, 44 seconds later Kaden Peterlin put a second goal past Nolan Lund and the score would stay 2-0 until 11:44 of the second period when Jacob’s scored his second goal of the contest, ending the second period 3-0.
The final goal came 1:02 into the third, again it was Devon Jacobs netting his 3rd to complete the hat trick. The Crush hung in matching shots on goal all night but they just couldn’t get one past Brody Potthoff.
Next up for the Sabres is River Lakes in RIchmond, the Crush will travel to Duluith Marshall. Both games are Thursday the 15th.
