Joseph Drives in Four, #4 Huskies’ Pitching Decimates USF 15-0
#4 St. Cloud State (18-3, 5-1 NSIC) rode Jordan Joseph’s (2-4, 3 R, 2B, HR, 4 RBI, SB) four-RBI day and a dominant pitching effort from Blake Flint and Trevor Koenig on their way to a crushing 15-0 win over Sioux Falls (3-18, 1-5 NSIC) in Saturday’s second game of the weekend series.
Flint retired 15 of 16 batters faced to earn his third win, cruising through 5.0 scoreless innings of one-hit baseball. The righty struck out 8 on just 58 pitches. Most impressively, Flint threw 15 balls, recorded 15 outs, and the Huskies scored 15 runs.
Trevor Koenig struck out all six men he faced out of the bullpen.
Najee Gaskins (3-4, R, 2B, 3 RBI) and Lenny Walker (3-5, 2 R, RBI) rapped three-hit evenings in support of Joseph.
The Huskies outhit Sioux Falls 15-1 and did not commit an error in the win.
