St. Cloud State Softball’s Haley McFarlane was announced as the NSIC Player of the Week on March 4th by the NSIC.

McFarlane (Sophomore, Swisher IA) was a large part of SCSU scoring 51 runs in 22 innings in the weekend, going 9-of-12 at bat and tallying a home run, triple and double totaling into a impressive 1.250 slugging percentage.

In the 15-0 win over Viterbo, McFarlane was only a double away from hitting for the cycle in the impressive win over the V-Hawks. In total on the weekend, she finished with 8 RBIs and four runs scored in the pair of double header sweeps over Bemidji State and Viterbo.

Defensively, she committed no errors in the four games as SCSU’s starting first baseman.

St. Cloud State softball has kicked off the 2019 season with a record of 7-1 headed into the spring break week with a trip to Clermont, Florida with 12 games set for the Huskies.
