The Men’s Ice Hockey season is getting into full swing across the nation and the preseason polls dropped today.

In the opening USCHO.com poll the Huskies earned the No. 6 ranking, far ahead of the 5th place finish they were voted for in the NCHC preseason poll.

Other notable teams in the rankings were No. 1 UMD, No. 2 Denver, No. 3 Minnesota State, No. 14 Western Michigan, No. 18 North Dakota and the highest vote earner not ranked was Minnesota.

UMD claimed all first place votes but one and that one went to Minnesota State

In the USA today poll the Huskies were voted in at No. 5 with UMD at No. 1 and Denver at No. 3.
