Archived: Men’s Hockey Splits with #6 UND
The #15-ranked SCSU men’s hockey team split a home series with #6 North Dakota this weekend. The Huskies lost 3-0 on Friday night then bounced back for a 5-2 win on Saturday night.
After being kept off the scoreboard Friday, the Huskies exploded for five goals in Saturday’s drubbing. Senior captain Drew LeBlanc had a pair of goals and an assist to lead the charge, with Jonny Brodzinski, Garrett Milan and Jimmy Murray adding goals for SCSU. Joe Rehkamp had three assists in the game for the Huskies, a career high.
With the split St. Cloud State is now 6-4 overall and 4-2 in WCHA play. The men have the upcoming weekend off before heading to UMD November 23-24th.
