Clean air supporters involved with the Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal group participated in Minnesota Beyond Coal Day of Action with a rally held in St. Cloud.

The rally, advocating clean air and clean energy was held at the BBC Park and drew close to 30 supporters complete with homemade protest signs on Tuesday. Local speakers gave speeches to garner more awareness towards Minnesota’s dependence on fossil fuels.

St. Cloud State University Student Chelsey Permenter said at the event, “It’s up to us and our generation to move beyond coal, to clean energy in Minnesota.”
