The Ghosts of Hester Park Tell Their Stories of Murder, Tornadoes, and Immigration

Have you ever wondered how Lake George got its name? Or who predicted the tornado of April 1886? Or even why this area hosts so many German Catholics?

Well, in this edition of the Untold Stories of Central Minnesota, Arts & Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack visits Hester Park as the Northside-Hester Park Neighborhood Association have wrangled up the four ghosts of Phillip Krunk, Hester Gillman, Jane Grace Swisshelm, and Father Francis Xavier Pierz who not only know of these compelling stories, but are also willing to tell!

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Legacy Fund.
