The Untold Story of the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg at the Melrose Area Museum
Arts & Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack travels to Melrose and visits with Jean and Roger Paschke from the Melrose Area Museum regarding their commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. The event took place on August 11th and featured a uniformed Civil War interpreter, Civil War displays, free museum tours, live entertainment by local musicians, and refreshments as well as free tours of the Oak Hill, St. Mary’s, and St. Patrick’s Cemeteries that all had Veterans’ graves marked to pay homage to Civil War Veterans.
