Authorities were able to save a building that set on fire about a mile out of Kimball on Monday.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says they received a call about a building fire just after 2:15 p.m. An off-duty Kimball firefighter was driving past the location, noticed smoke coming from a pole shed, and called 911.

The shed belongs to 30-year-old Joseph Borman of Kimball.

The Kimball Fire Department was able to extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
