St. Cloud Sate (17-3, 5-1 NSIC) righthander Riley Ahern fired 4.0 innings of two-run relief with a career-best 9 strikeouts to stave off Sioux Falls (3-16, 1-5 NSIC) in a 12-7 game one victory.

Ahern scattered three hits and a walk, surrendering just a sole earned run. The righthander piled up 13 swinging strikes on 65 pitches while earning his second win of the year.

The Huskies scored two runs in each of the first four innings, adding one in the sixth and three in the seventh.

Dominic Austing had a rare poor start, allowing five earned on four hits, two walks and two home runs while punching out five.

Toran Shahidi (3-5, 2 R, 2B, 3 RBI), Mat Meyer (3-4, 3 R, 2B, RBI, SF) and Jordan Joseph (3-5, R, 2 RBI) posted three-hit games. Najee Gaskins (2-5, 2 R, RBI) and Dylan Haskamp (2-4, BB, R, RBI) added multi-hit efforts.
