The Husky football team upset undefeated Henderson State on the Reddies home field this weekend in Arkadelphia, Ar in a game heard on 88.1 FM. The victory advances the Huskies to the second round of the NCAA Division II football playoffs.

The #6 SCSU defeated #4 Henderson State 40-35. The Reddies talled 619 yards of offense in the contest and made things interesting with just :12 seconds left. Henderson State threw for two incomplete passes giving the Huskies the victory. SCSU totaled 477 yards of offense in the game.

The Huskies advance to the quarterfinals for just the third time in school history. They will play Minnesota State on Saturday afternoon in Mankato. It’s the first time the two teams have met in the post-season. KVSC will be there as well to provide coverage of the historic event. Fans can catch the bus to Mankato to take in the game in person.
