SCSU Hosts Vigil For Sri Lankan Terrorist Attack Victims

The student president of the Sri Lankan student organization is inviting the campus and community to a prayer vigil for the victims of the Easter bombings in their home country.

Anushka Hewarathna says the Sri Lankans living in St. Cloud, and studying at the St. Cloud State University are devastated because of the news that took so many lives and for the fear of regaining terrorist attacks in future.

More than 300 people have died in the Easter Sunday terrorist bombings at nine locations in Sri Lanka, and 500 are injured.

The prayer vigil and candle lighting ceremony is Tuesday starting at 4 p.m. on the Atwood Mall, near the Stewart Hall Ritsche Auditorium.
