Archived: Septic Truck Rollover Partially Pins Melrose Driver

Stearns County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a single truck crash in Grove Township, early Saturday 12:30 a.m.

69-year-old Gerald Nortbert Boecker of Melrose, was driving a Buecker’s Sanitation septic truck eastbound on Riverview Lane in Melrose.

Boecker went off the road, over corrected then lost control of the septic truck. The truck then rolled over onto the passenger side, partially pinning Boecker. Responding Melrose ambulance and rescue personnel freed Boecker from the truck. Boecker was taken to the Melrose Hospital.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
