A pedestrian that was hit and killed by a car near the Metro Bus Transit Center in downtown St. Cloud Wednesday has been identified. 

St. Cloud Police say 84-year-old Mohammed Aga Intale died as a result of his injuries.

St. Cloud Police say just after 3 p.m. Intale was walking southbound on 5th Avenue when he was hit by 20-year-old Jeremiah Brown, of St. Cloud. He was driving westbound on 1st Street North. Brown fled the scene and the victim was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital.

Witness descriptions led police to Brown’s residence in the 1300 block of 12th Avenue North in St. Cloud. Brown was then taken to the Stearns County jail and is being held on pending charges.
