On Wednesday afternoon, the NCHC released the conference’s regular season schedule for the 2019-20 season, and the Huskies have a tough road ahead. All teams in the NCHC square off in two series with five teams in the conference, and one series with the other teams. Last season the two omissions from the schedule were a home series versus North Dakota and an away series against Denver.
Last season did not end in the way any SCSU fan wanted, while this upcoming season feature another difficult slate of games within the NCHC. The Huskies will start the conference schedule at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center on November 15th against the Colorado College Tigers and the end the regular season in Duluth against the two-time reigning national champs on March 7th.
Other highlights include one of St. Cloud State’s biggest rivals, North Dakota, making their return to HBNHC for the first time since December of 2017. This series will take place on February 21st and 22nd. The Huskies will also host the UMD Bulldogs on January 17th and 18th.
