The French Revolution is the focus of the latest theatre performance by St. Cloud State students.

St. Cloud State University Communications says the play is called "The Revolutionists" and is about "a playwright, an assassin, a former queen and a Haitian rebel who hang out, murder Marat, lose their heads and try to beat back the extremist insanity of Paris’ Reign of Terror."

The play is considered a brutal comedy and contains strong language.

The shows will take place on the Performing Arts Center Stage from October 17-20 at 7:30 p.m. and October 21 at 2:00 p.m.

For tickets, go to the St. Cloud State tickets website or get them at the door. They cost $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and free with a St. Cloud State ID.
