Great River Regional Library system is expanding their “Try It Yourself” collection with 20 new telescopes that are available for check out.

Communications and Development Director Abby Faulkner says in 2017 the Library was given its first telescope from the Buffalo Rotary Club. Since then the telescope has been very popular and always in high demand. This year the rotary club donated the funds needed to add 20 more telescopes to the library’s collection.

The “Try It Yourself” collection, offers library goers the chance to test potential new hobbies for free with their library cards.  The telescopes will be available starting on February 1st, and anyone with a library card can reserve a telescope now.
