UPDATE: St. Cloud Mayor’s Office and SCPD Confirm ICE Presence in St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — The St. Cloud Police Department and the St. Cloud Mayor’s Office has confirmed the presence of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in St. Cloud.
On Saturday, Jan. 10, the St. Cloud Mayor’s Office wrote in a media release that an ICE agent had approached an SCPD Sergeant while he was seated in his squad vehicle earlier in the day.
According to the release, the interaction was informal and not associated with any coordinated or notified enforcement activity.
On Friday, Jan. 9, 2026 the Mayor’s Office wrote in a statement that the city of St. Cloud is committed to public safety, the protection of constitutional rights, and ensuring peaceful community participation in civic life.
