A teen was killed in a three-vehicle crash near Grove City on Friday.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a minivan driven by 19-year-old Yasmin Abdi Ahmed of Willmar was heading west on Highway 12 when she lost control and crossed over into the eastbound lanes just after 4:30 p.m.

A pickup truck driven by 25-year-old Ali Ann Danzeisen of Litchfield was driving east when she collided into Ahmed’s van. A second pickup truck driven by 24-year-old Joshua William Pehrson of Willmar then crashed into Danzeisen’s truck.

Snow and ice may have played a role in the crash.

Ahmed died at the scene, while Danzeisen suffered non-life-threatening injuries but did not require medical attention. Pehrson was not injured.
